FORTY-NINEsie

Landon has hit the 49-week mark, which means only 3 more onesie posts for my little man. My oh my, where has the time gone? One moment I’m holding my sweet baby boy in my arms in labor/delivery, and the next minute I’m planning his 1st birthday party.

We are loving life with our little man. He has definitely found his own way to communicate, and Chris and I are slowly deciphering what each sign and noise means. He has been able to communicate when he does and doesn’t want something, which has been awesome. GREAT NEWS!!! Landon's first little toothie has broken through! We can see his bottom front right tooth. It's making some pretty fast progress, so the whole tooth should be here soon.

On the walking front, he has had zero interest in trying it alone. We try to give him things to hold on to while he’s cruising along the sofa or coffee table, but he just grabs it, falls to his butt and then crawls around holding the item. We sit a foot or so away from Landon and call him while he is walking along and holding onto a piece of furniture. He looks at us, plops down on his cute little baby butt, and crawls as fast as he can towards us. Chris and I think he just loves to crawl, because he goes SO fast. I mean, for real, that kid motors. You turn around for a second (even 1/2 a second) and he has crawled clear across the family room into the living room (that’s two rooms away!). He can climb a set of stairs in half the time he did when he first started. He’s building so much strength, so at least he’ll be ready to walk whenever he decides to quit being so lazy. :)

Regarding foods, Landon has tried all kinds of different things. The more he gets "regular people food" you can definitely tell he is starting to get bored with his baby food. He is getting a good mixture of both food types, but I'm sure he'll be 86ing baby foods shortly haha.

With each passing day, Landon and Colby become closer and closer. Colby is so good with him and Landon LOVES getting Colby kisses, hugging on her, and babbling all kinds of sweet baby sayings at her. For his birthday, I ordered Colby and personalized doggy t-shirt that says “HAPPY BIRTHDAY LANDON!” It arrived yesterday and I immediately put it on her. She looked SO cute! She can’t wait to celebrate with her brother in a few weeks and get lots of CAKE! Colby is so good with Landon (patient, gentle, tolerant, sweet, etc). If you're looking for a family dog, a golden retriever is definitely the way to go!

Landon decided it was a good idea to use Colby as a doggy jungle gym last night.
Luckily I had my iPhone on hand and snapped some adorable pics!
Kisses from Colby.

Loving his rocking horse.

One of his favorite toys.
