i'm high.

If you follow me on Pinterest, you know that I have been pinning A LOT of home improvement things lately. I am on a total home improvement and Pinterest high. It has gotten to the point that Chris was convinced I was pregnant, because of how much I am nesting (note for clarification:  I am NOT pregnant). I just can't stop pinning and begging politely asking my husband to complete my home improvement ideas. Thank goodness my dad and stepdad have taught Chris A TON of things (he's a regular handy man now, no joke), otherwise I wouldn't have anyone to carry out my visions!

I have used Pinterest to re-do our kitchen cabinets, kitchen pantry, storage room and linen closet. I have gotten a lot of lighting ideas, because we are replacing the last of our light fixtures that I've hated since we've moved in. We're also updating the mirrors in both full bathrooms, our front railing, and I'm redecorating Landon's bathroom! I'm working on a few other little things...I just have too many projects to list here! :)

I'll have photos for you as things are finished, but for now I'll let you see what Chris did most recently!

#1:  He added a shower curtain rod (only $8 at Home Depot) under our kitchen sink cabinet, and we use it to hang spray bottles. You all know that I'm an OCD neat freak, so I have pretty much every cleaning product you could possibly think of. I couldn't stand how crowded our cabinet under the kitchen sink was, so when I saw the idea on Pinterest I jumped on it so fast!

#2:  He hung an under-the-cabinet wine stemware holder for my glasses! When I cleaned out the kitchen, I wanted to be able to mount my stemware outside of the cabinet over the sink for 2 reasons:  (1) to free up cabinet space and (2) to reinforce the "wine" theme I have around my kitchen. I ordered the "wine enthusiast" rack that holds up to 18 glasses. While there were a few different websites I could have ordered the rack from, I ended up getting a great deal at Target. It was only $17.99, plus I got 5% off my purchase and free shipping since I have a Target credit card. I absolutely LOVE the stemware rack! I also love that these little home improvements haven't cost us a lot of money!

It seems to be a running theme that Chris completes my projects before he's had a chance to change out of his suit. Hmmmmmmm...maybe I should stop asking Chris to complete stuff right after he gets home from work.

  3. Those look great!! I think I may get frustrated with the cleaning products hanging in the front though because it makes it more difficult to get stuff from the back. Has that been an issue? Or is it really not a big deal? Love how your stemware looks! Very nice!
