Will you be my…?

I guess the word that is supposed to come after “my” is “Valentine”. I’m not really a flowers, candy, jewelry, lavish-me-with-lovey-dovey-things type of girl when it comes to Valentine’s Day. Sure, I love having a gorgeous, sexy, perfect man to celebrate this day with. However, I’ve always been in the mindset that he doesn’t need to get me things just because there is a day on the calendar that says he should (the same goes for our anniversary, Christmas, my birthday, etc.). I am just as happy with a card. He always picks out the most thoughtful cards, and writes the sweetest messages (for my eyes only ::ahem::).

I started writing the paragraph above when I was taking my break for lunch earlier today. Then, my husband surprised me by walking into my office with beautiful red roses and a sweet invitation to lunch. My hubs won’t be home until later tonight (probably when I’m getting ready for bed, he’ll be walking in the door), so he had been planning this for weeks so he could take me out today. What a cutie. I get to his car, Chris opens the door, and that blue box we all know and love was sitting on the front passenger seat with my Valentine’s Day card. What did I do to deserve something from Tiffany’s?!?! He surprised me with the Tiffany’s smart phone zip wallet I had mentioned before that I liked. Seriously…what a stud. Since having Landon, I pretty much only sport my diaper bag now (it’s designer though, don’t worry…if I’m going to carry a diaper bag, it must be stylish and cute) and, of course, my fabulous Burberry bag for work (the other designer duds are now just taking up room in my closet ::sigh::). I loved that everything could zip inside this amazing wallet and, DUH, that it is Tiffany’s. Everything is better when it comes in a Tiffany’s box.

While I am definitely not a girl that is big on Valentine’s Day, my hubby definitely went so out of his way to make what would’ve been an ordinary Thursday so special.
