We LOVE having just Landon and we are really enjoying our time with him.
We want our kids to be close in age.
I would prefer to have a baby due between Novemberish-Marchish, simply so I can re-use a lot of my maternity clothes (since they are mostly winter). If I have to buy new ones, I will. But…I’m way too frugal for that.
We may be going to Maui in 2014 and I do NOT want to miss it. I don’t mind being preggo when we go (the whole idea of not having a gorgeous beach body doesn't bother me), I just want to be able to fly on a plane. AKA – not be too preggo.

So, those are the facts and what has been going on in our minds about baby #2. We both can’t wait to have our second child, but we also really like our time with just Landon. I know we can’t have it both ways, so maybe we’ll just leave it up to fate.
For those of you with a kid or 2, how did you decide on when to add another cutie pie to your broad?
For those without kids, what are your thoughts on the situation? (C'mon...I know you have some.)
One and done is my motto! Good luck! Also, you don't want to miss the mai tais...
ReplyDeleteWe are having this same conversation, however I wasn't as worried about the age gap that my mom kept telling me about, I wanted one in diapers, at a time. Now that we are just now about potty trained, we are having the talk "if its time", who knows if there is a perfect time or not,but a baby is always a blessing!
ReplyDeleteI had a lot of the same thoughts as you when contemplating baby #2 (minus the whole Maui consideration--jealous!!). The desire to have them close in age won out and the timing worked out nicely so I was pregnant during the same time frame, and I'm so glad we didn't wait. My boys are 2 years (and 6 weeks) apart and best friends. Any fears I had about giving up one-on-one time with my oldest completely subsided as their brother bond developed. And then I just had more cute kids to love :)
ReplyDeleteThen we waited 4 years to add a 3rd and that was the best decision for us, too. Honestly, whatever decision you make will more than likely end up being the best decision. You probably wouldn't even be too mad about missing Maui (eventually...) if that's how it ends up working out. In my experience, it's pretty hard to regret a baby for any reason :)
New follower from the MNB hop, looking forward to reading more and learning what you decide.
